Anything that is fast is good but there are some drawbacks and implementing AMP is not plug and play, its typically a lot of dev work and custom workarounds to integrate this into the design of your site. AMP is essentially HTML/CSS only, it doesn’t allow for javascript except for a very small subset which is provided by Google. There is a WordPress AMP plugin and a commercial AMP addon for Woocommerce but typically these solutions are anything but drop in and go and will typically require you to copy your site to a dev environment and work in custom solutions to get over issues in javascript with your site and conflicts with certain plugins not working with AMP.
